That really doesn't make sense. Supposedly absentee voting was massive. Lines were reportedly long.

He might come in a little under his number from last time Harris is on pace to get more than 10 million fewer votes than Biden

Thousands of words, billions of dollars, time and effort and she had no chance. None. From the start.

This was an old school election. It was the economy, stupid. And she was a woman. She was black. This is America, she never had a chance. We just wanted to believe she did. Democrats only chance was Joe Biden stepping down a year before he did, a truth I hope he and his advisors have seared into their brains the rest of their days.

I’m all out of shits to give. The marches to try to stop Bush. The anger at Wall Street. The belief that maybe the electorate was manipulated by Putin. The renewed hope in the summer and fall of 2020. The grace and empathy I tried to show people who voted for him. All meant nothing.

None of it mattered. He won. He’d already won by turning us all into a rapt television audience to his every move. Now he’s codified it. We’re never going back. I just don’t want to participate in it. I’m done doomscrolling and checking the Washington Post app every 20 minutes for a latest indignity or crime or lie.

I’ve never been quite the same after November 2016. I now know that person is never coming back.

    Good luck, everybody.

Wisconsin makes it official and it appears Harris will go 0-for-7 in swing states.

The stupifying thing is Trump will wind up right around 74 million votes again, even though his numbers are coming in different percentages across the country. But the entire country moved at least two points right. And Harris got nowhere near the support that Biden did.

Despite the excitement at her rallies and positive message, too many voters sat this one out in key swing states or returned to 2016 levels of support against a female candidate.

Georgia is going to end up with around 5.2 million ballots -- still a record turnout -- but Trump did the same or better in nearly every county. And Democratic counties didn't keep up with turnout across the state.

Too many Americans aren't ready for a woman President. Had a conversation with Gwen last night after I posted the Hispanic comment. As a ESOL teacher, she said Hispanic men value machismo over everything else and Hispanic women are taught they are unworthy of holding positions of power other than having children and cooking meals.

The people least likely to gain from a Trump victory are the ones who elected him again.

Good thing nearly 40,000 people in Nevada decided to vote none of the above in a Senate race that is literally down to 1,000 votes right now.

And right now the projection has the Dems finishing one seat short at 217

We went into the night knowing it was a coin flip. And damn he's going to win all of them.
