Trump's manly, strong, bigly win emphatically proves how ridiculous his stolen 2020 claims were. How and why didn't "they" just rig it again from the inside when they were able to do it from the outside before?

A republic. But we couldn’t keep it.

Donald Trump has demonstrated what an ineffective executive he is, unwilling to do the work, unable to delegate, and incapable of consistency or follow through. I'm going to count on that ineptitude limiting the damage he can do.

Meanwhile: I'm a white, straight, upper middle class not-Ukrainian. I'll probably get a tax cut and can shrug off tariffs, and we already own our house.

As someone else said: MAGA wants to sow the wind? Alright then ...

Hopefully the Democrats will realize that when they put a woman up for a presidential candidate, the election is over when the bus starts. Trump ran the third worst presidential campaign ever. The two worst above him? When the Democrats ran women. People might not like it, but if you want to win a presidential election in America for the next 40 years, it’s gotta be a man.

To paraphrase, if the Democrats are so smart, then why are they always losing?

One solace, and anyone here can copyright this, Donald Trump… was never able to beat a man.

And I better not see any marches with pink hats this time.

I quit flying the one in my yard sometime during Trump's first presidency, and while I used to be a flag-festooned dresser, I honestly don't think I have a single article of clothing with a U.S. flag. Everything I have now is either a state flag or Jolly Roger.
I don't hate my country. I hate it for my country.

Headed into work last night hearing "Harris underperforming..." later "Trump leading battlegrounds..." and at lunch his "victory speech" was on TV. I felt ill. Seriously wanted to puke. I thought I was emotionally prepared for Harris to lose, but I was wrong, and the more I thought about it - the loss just gets worse. Don't know if it was "better" that it was so decisive and didn't drag out, but going 0-7 in the battlegrounds is brutal. And the thing is, I just believe this country was committed to electing Trump, regardless. I'm sure some will point out this or that thing regarding the Harris campaign, but they don't even come close to some of Trump's actions that didn't make a dent in his support.
One of the things I kept going back to was if the Dems had a time machine that would allow them to produce a different outcome, when would that be? Have Biden announce he isn't running again earlier and have a full primary earlier? Yeah, alienate the people of color and the women who would feel slighted that others would run against Harris. The only thing I could think of was when the Biden staffers began "adjusting" his availability to avoid scrutiny of his cognitive abilities, they should have done something then. Harris was put on the back burner because she couldn't upstage Biden. So when Biden hid, Harris had to hide as well.
Its really sad that I don't think I'll ever see a woman candidate elected President in my lifetime. Please let the Dems take the House. This is horrible. I am questioning morality as a concept.

"His empire" is now the treasury of the United States of America. He has personal access to an infinite amount of money.

Woman candidate? I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever see a true democrat ever elected again.

"He ran on a platform of punishing his enemies, and his voters' imagined enemies, and they turned out in droves to give him that power even at the expense of making their own lives worse. One cannot say broadly of Americans We're better than this, because we're not. A plurality of Americans hate women or people of color or immigrants or trans people enough for this to be the result."

It all started with Obama's inauguration. When that massive, multiracial, multi gender crowd marched joyfully down the streets of Washington and across the tv screens, I got a chilling thought:

    "They're going to get even."

And they have. And they've only started.

They hold all the weapons now.
