And the trot to the right begins.

Pro tip - a niche issue like this isn't the reason Democrats lost.

The Overton Window just screeched another 50 miles to the right.

Imagine being less popular than the most toxic and most hated political figure of our lives...and the most hated female political candidate in U.S. history. Damn.

As he leaves office, Biden should summarily issue a pardon to everyone who worked in his administration for "any and/or all actions taken in the service of the government," or something like that, protecting them from future retribution.

And he should pardon Hunter as a final fuck-you to the MAGGATS, just to see them all go batshit crazy.

Vance is as unlikable as DeSantis and Cruz, and sucking Trump’s dick isn’t going to do him any favors.

... and that there's a cap on how much of each person's income is taxed. If the cap were raised - or (getting all socialist) removed - it'd be in fine shape.

We as an American people have never had more information.

We as an American people have never been more ill-informed.

Republicans, Democrats, it doesn't matter. The disinformation is rampant on both sides.

We've lost the ability of critical thinking.

We're all sheep who believe what we want to hear on social media, not willing to engage in the other side's discourse.

We're ripe to be manipulated by those seeking to manipulate us.

    It won't get better.

I live in a very liberal city where the local subreddit is setting up cry and scream sessions because they couldn't see this coming. Because they spent all of their time in an echo chamber thinking there is no way this could happen.

We are stupid, across the board, and this is what happened. We reap what we sow.

Trump's DOJ will indict them all anyway, claiming their actions were not undertaken as part of their legitimate government duties, but in promotion of their personal political interests, and therefore the pardons are inapplicable. And all they'll need to do is find a friendly judge to agree.

They didn't want to remind people of Covid yet every time the right brought up "are you better off now than four years ago?" the Dems should have been firing back with some version of "of course the fuck we are, do you not remember 2020?"
