If only girls aged 10-17 could have voted just this once.

I know this sounds quaint and all that, but . . . a balanced budget?

Does anybody even utter that phrase anymore? We'll hear on occasion "reduce the deficit" (yeah, thanks, from eleventy quintillion to eleventy quadrillion). But that's about it.

Axl Rose probably voted for Trump. All that fried chicken he eats these days costs more than it did in 2020!

How the hell do I know? Harris wasn’t paying me to solve their problems, but maybe the answer should have been something other than, “your food prices went up? Stop complaining Trumpist.”

Because that was the answer obviously perceived by the general public. Tell people they are terrible because they are worried about their own lives, and they will go in the opposite direction.

Agricultural subsidies right now are running north of $20 billion a year.

Just nationalize the whole thing and get it over with.

Ha. Good one but I saw Trump got 7 percent more votes from women in the 18-29 age group this time compared to 2020. That's stunning to me.

It was unrealistic to think Harris could pull it off in 12 weeks. I don't know what more the campaign could have done within that timeframe.

    It's the great conundrum.

On Monday they were "selfish assholes."
On Tuesday they were "voting against their own interests."
On Wednesday back to being "selfish assholes."

    Quite dizzying.

Will add that not understanding that insulting voters is solely owned by the Democrats.

Back in my Chamber of Commerce Republican days after I left journalism, I’d hear the lament, “why do African Americans constantly vote Democrat? It’s been getting them nowhere for generations.” I’d say, “maybe if the GOP stopped covering up for racists, they would.”

The reaction was about the same I am getting here.

The combination of tax increases and spending cuts needed to balance the budget would be political suicide for whoever tried it.

The country has a major culture (white dudes) and many subcultures steeped in meathead masculinity and "traditional" values, i.e., firearms, combat sports, NFL, and anything that sells *tactical* sunglasses/knives/coffee/beard oil/t-shirts. You are not reaching this demo. Ever.

They do not give a shit nor want to hear about gay rights, let alone transgender rights. They don't give a shit nor want to hear about equal pay. They do not want a woman telling them what to do and certainly have no appetite to listen to a beta male telling them how to behave. Their women fall in line and the betas get metaphorically stuffed in lockers.

There's a thought in the music business that the public latches on to people they want to be or want to fuck. Who wouldn't want to be Donald Trump?

This dude dislikes everything you dislike and can make his disdain known with impunity and without consequence, all while being enabled by an army of sycophants, many of whom wear 4" heels and tight cocktail dresses. I was on a Zoom call this morning that really, really made me wish I was Donald Trump.

As far as the "want to fuck" part goes, too bad for any female candidate because she's either going to be looked at as a shriveled scold or someone you'd bang but, c'mon, that's a female, bro...

This won’t win an election for anyone, but if you need a reality check on our “horrible” economy, look up how people are doing in Haiti, India, large swaths of Africa …

We are unbelievably fortunate as Americans.
