I expected things to be bad and it’s so much worse.

 

My local columnist, Kyle Whitmire, called it years ago. He named this process "The Alabamafication of America". He was dead on. This nonsense and idiocy has been my state government for years.

His wife just left Al.com and has taken a job in D.C. Kyle is going as well and will be Al.com's Washington correspondent, which basically means he'll be a columnist while living there. He's a good investigative reporter and gadfly, with a Black Belt in FOIA.

It'snot surprising because at least it was out there on the camapaign trail that this was going to be the case. The Hegseth and Gaetz ones are more concerning because they have come out of nowhere.
