It's mostly the same thing, but it would be more comparable to teams running the tailback up the gut for a gain of 1 in the final-seconds situation instead of the victory formation kneeldown play, and the opposing team getting all huffy about it.

They did that to avoid a turnover on their stat line, now there's a team TO so everyone is good with that.

Don't want to be shown up, play better. I couldn't give a fuck about anyone's hurt feelings in these instances.

It’s not the feelings that will be hurt.

Before people started pissing and moaning about it several years ago, nobody really cared much about it. Somebody pulls up and hits a jumper in the final seconds of a "safe" game,
players on both teams roll their eyes and do the jack-off gesture.

Now it's a grievous insult to manhood or something.

It is November 14. We gonna start yelling at marathoners who don’t go full steam ahead on Mile 4 of the race? Why shouldn’t a winning team run out the clock in a blowout?

"When I played basket ball, we needed ladders to get balls out of peach baskets and we had a fence around the basketball court!" he spouted angrily, before going to pout in the corner.

I must be the only NBA fan who doesn’t get the appeal of Inside the NBA.
