College football week 12 thread: All the Brigham Young Dudes

I love Dan Lanning, but Christ almighty I hated that fake FG.

 

I wish to send out a strongly-worded memo to college band directors that holding the same note for 20-25 seconds does not constitute the act of making music.

 

I don’t think anyone in college football knows how to tackle. It’s been worse across the board today than I can remember. I don’t know how many guys I’ve seen try to use the shoulder tackle that bounces off them for six more yards and a first down.

 

North Carolina, last heard from when James Madison ran a train on them and the coach tried to resign, is about to be bowl eligible.

 

Rod Gilmore, who is a great analyst, is doing the Memphis-UAB game. He deserves better.

 

Good for them. Their regular-season finale with NC State will be the battle of who can underachieve less relative to wish casting predictions of August.

 

Much maligned Carson Beck has looked pretty damn good tonight.
