In before the rehashing of 2014 and blaming the US for all of this.

In what way has the US not acted rationally? I mean - we haven't surrendered Ukraine to Russia, and we been eager to uphold our agreement we (and the Russians) made with Ukraine - but in what way are we not acting rationally?

Is "doing anything that elevates the chance of WW III 'not rational' " Is the only "not rational" action to surrender Ukraine to Russia?

What price should Russia pay for lobbing cruise missiles into Kyiv?

Count me among the Cold War vets willing to stand up to Neo Soviet aggression. If the world doesn't stand up to them in Ukraine, it doesn't end there. It also emboldens China.
Obviously I don't want to see WWIII, but the only acceptable outcome is a total Russian withdrawal and the rest of the globe sanctioning the entire country into the Stone Age.

What bothers me most are the guys who did a stint in 'Nam or in the case of the guy down the street, chased Soviet subs around the globe, who somehow think Trump's "amazing negotiation powers" will end Russian aggresssion. They should know better but apparently are blind to Trump's love affair with Russia, North Korea and China. He perceives himself as this dicator figure because his handlers kiss his ass every day and twice on Sundays.

Instead, they think Pelosi is the closet Communist.

I'm confident the other 31 members of NATO will step into the breech to fill our absence after 1/20. Some, like Britain and Greece, are more hawkish than others.

    Well, maybe not Hungary.

I expect that Ukraine will transition into an insurgency war shortly after Stinky defiles the Resolute Desk. The working mechanized apparatus that still works will withdraw back to ring Kyiv. The forward troops will withhold as long as the rump NATO lets them.
