Wait 180? I feel like that will take forever and not get it properly cooked inside. If the breast needs to get to 165 (thighs are higher), wouldn’t you want the oven hotter?

After spatchcocking and smoking our Thanksgiving turkey a couple of years ago (following a good brine), I doubt I'll ever go back to another way. Crazy good and moist, and took a fraction of the time.

Herdez makes awesome sauces. Everything is unique and flavorful with texture and the spiciness isn't overwhelming.

One of the tastiest dishes in the Chinese food realm is .....Peking Duck. Crispy skin and succulent duck meat. Had some yesterday during a business lunch. Hope you get to enjoy sometime yourselves.

I wish Chinese-American food was better. So much is sloppy junk with cornstarch ruining everything.

Agreed however my mom taught me cornstarch is the magic ingredient for making the sauces that make it tasty thick enough, without it there is no sauce, only watery stuff.

Isn't the problem that the vast majority of people have no idea what good Chinese food is?

Went to San Francisco last year and ate at Sam Wo in Chinatown. Far from upscale, but it absolutely blew us away. Didn't ruin Chinese-American food for us, but feels like a pretty big insult to put them both in the same category.

I'd kill for a big bowl of their ordinary fried rice right now.

I’m taking my oldest to an Asian place tonight, Le Bao. I’ve been a couple of times, and it’s really good.

In Columbia? If that's the one, my daughter is absolutely nuts for that place.

That and the Ocha Thai restaurant on the south side of town.

    No outing!

    (Yes, that’s the place.)

I did second-guess the outing part. Sorry.
