Yep, said that immediately after he missed the kick.

Arkansas is in the worst spot here. 7-5 means no changes but we see their ceiling here. A very good year (their win total was 4.5) but what’s the end game?

Could see them getting throttled at Mizzou on Saturday and making a change before the bowl game. And they should, with Petrino right there waiting in the wings.

But I agree, 7-5 and with wins over Tennessee, Mizzou and close calls against Texas and Oklahoma State, means Pittman is probably back for another restless season.

It’s like that for news anchors, too. :)

There was a major failure to take advantage of a window that was going to be there for them because they just were making lazy coaching hires. For the 1990s they had a Florida State problem, like everyone in the ACC. They go 10-2 in 1996 and 11-1 in 1997 (losses to FSU both year) and Brown leaves. It felt like they were in a position to get a top coach on the basis of that two-year run and instead they promoted Carl Torbush, who was always best served as an assistant. That move doesn't work out. Now it's the early 2000s and FSU is falling off and they fire Torbush to hire John Bunting, an alum that had spent the past decade as an NFL position coach.

That was ten lost years when it looked like they were really on the cusp of something good because they made two bad coaching hires.

If you are a kid in North Carolina, you'd rather play in the SEC or Clemson. Not at a basketball school.
