I've been a Taj Mahal fan since high school. When I had a radio job just out of college, my disc jockey roommate brought this album home and we listened to it endlessly. It's a nice sound on this day, with 23 degrees out and a 15-mph wind.

    Yeah, certainly spiritually.

I've seen The Kinks mentioned too, certainly more for the crunchy guitar sound of "You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of the Night" than such brilliant later works as "Waterloo Sunset".

I'll admit that I've never heard of Dave Blunts until this very moment, but seeing an 800-pound rapper doing his thing on a couch, attached to an oxygen tank, while wearing a purple velvet track suit is making me laugh in ways it probably shouldn't.

This song is three years old. How did I just hear it for the first time this week?
If "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" can become a novelty holiday classic, surely we can find room for this in the December rotation.

That's pretty rare, seeing a one-man black metal project live. I was really into Falkenbach and clips of Vratyas are super hard to find. I wasn't able to see Midnight on his last US tour but I'm still hopeful.

I feel bad for people who missed that SJ era. Basically made me and @Junkie best friends!
