Boulevard Pale Ale. In a can.

The fridge is cold, but I wish it came from a cooler full of ice and a little water.

That sounds like it would be highly dangerous for my waistband and liver.

Three Creeks Jack IPA out of Sisters (near Bend) OR. Good stuff. I also highly recommend the Ninkasi Red IPA.

“What is this? This is great!”

(My wife slowly and slyly puts Aldi wine bottle behind back to conceal $3.95 Winking Owl)

    “Oh, just something we like!”

About to go and make a pair of Old Fashioneds - - one for me and one for my long-suffering wife - - with a new wrinkle to the recipe.

Instead of bourbon (Maker's Mark or Woodford Reserve) we now make them with Jameson Irish Whiskey and they are much smoother and lighter. Three parts whiskey and one part simple syrup with a twist of orange peel and two splashes of Aromatic Bitters.

    Enjoy.

Sipping on a winter/holiday beer I brewed a few weeks back. The base was an American strong ale, and I added some bourbon, vanilla, cinnamon, and bitter orange peel.

Got some decent malt and bourbon flavor and some dark fruit and vanilla aroma.
