For all the goodwill Lea has going, they are still a 6-6 team that managed the ultra-rare feat of taking down Alabama and losing to the second-worst Sun Belt team. Vandy fans were growing restless entering the season and he needs to show he has another pitch besides grafting the best parts of New Mexico State’s program onto his own.

    This can’t be real.

Have they seen RichRod the last 17 years? Do they not have google in West Virginia?

If Oklahoma State can't afford to pay their coach $8 million and pay NIL, can they really be a big-time football program?

A question that should asked at every collegiate football program not in the Big 10 or the SEC but won't. And the answer should be no.

Let us take Colorado as an example. Deion Sanders will need to replace half his roster next year (much of the improvement this year was due to bringing in players with a year of eligibility left). Sanders, with his genius for marketing, is saying this publically to recruits.

"You’re gonna get vetted thoroughly by us, and then I pray you know the difference of being offered a bag and being offered a blessing,”

I can promise you this means that Colorado is short of NIL money also. How do I know this? Because in Coach Prime's well publicized life this is the first time he has differentiated between a blessing and a bag.

You're going to find that, outside of about 15 schools, every other program can't do this either.

Then you're going to have the schools like Pitt and Penn State, who have aging fanbases that don't buy into NIL whatsoever and still think the scholarship and perks of being a division-I athlete are payment enough.

    T. Boone Pickens is dead. They must have burned through the $150m his foundation gave OSU last year. Pickens made OkState relevant. They are closer to K State and Iowa State than the fan base will ever admit.

Gotta be a big blow to their ego to basically admit that they are more Iowa State than they are OU.

We could see Ohio and Jax State play a bowl game where both head coaches are gone.

There are somewhat credible rumors that Belichick to UNC is very close to actually happening, with his son officially named coach in waiting as part of the deal.

“Everybody has free agency every year and there’s no draft,” sounds like just the kind of environment for a warm and fuzzy people person like ole Bill to thrive in.
