Anyone else notice how the Fox News crowd is covering the UHC shooting, while celebrating Daniel Penny's acquittal? Apples and oranges to an extent - but I just find it odd how much pearl clutching is going on by righties about social media idiots cheering Thompson's murder. I mean, where do people get the idea that anyone is above the law?

Maybe Joe Rogan has become the "voice" of America?

They believe he's a sacrificial goober to be arrested and the 'real' guy is still at large, or already has been eliminated by The Elites who planned the whole thing.

They want to see it all burn. Take down the 1% no matter how, even if it's immoral or illegal.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned (doesn't mean it hasn't been) is that the fact the guy kept the gun, which is absolutely stupid from a getaway perspective, strongly suggests, to me anyway, he was planning to use it again.

That’s all such BS; if they want to take down the 1%, start by not electing as your leader the Manhattan born, Ivy League, trust fund baby.

None of this makes sense from a legal standpoint. If he was found not guilty by reason of insanity, he would still be committed to a mental institution indefinitely (most likely forever).

And I can't imagine a judge being even remotely willing to allow testimony on or instruct the jury on a "heat of passion" defense, since the criminal act wasn't committed in response to a sudden event or provocation.

Yeah. My freshman year roommate (a sophomore rooming blind with a freshman because he couldn't find anyone to live with sophomore year) in was involved in something called "TAG: The Assassination Game." It was 1989. I learned about it because one day I came back to the room and when I entered, he had moved his desk/shelf unit so it formed a barricade and he sprung out with a cap gun -- he was afraid I was his fucking "assassin." By that point I'd pretty much had it.

It is, and I agree, but they don't see him as part of that crew. Remember, they believe he's a hard-working guy who bootstrapped his way to success while being vilified by lies and fake news from "them."

OTOH, one less piece of evidence for them to find, at least until you can get far enough away from the scene to drop it where you think people won’t be looking.

Once you’ve made the dozens of decisions necessary to put you in such a terrible spot, there frankly aren’t any good options on the table.

Luigi Mangione has been charged with second-degree murder, which I found surprising. Maybe any lawyers can explain things in more depth, although there is a paragraph about it.

    McMurphy would agree.

    If Chief didn't smother him.
