    Very methodical and had the unique holding signal. Great official and one of my all-time favorites. If he's not on the Mount Rushmore of NFL referees, he's damn close.

    I see the Super Bowls he worked were quite early in the Super Bowl era, and that he was 95.

    Rest in peace, Mr. Tunney.

    The alpha zebra of all zebras. Can't believe his first season was 1960 and last was 1990! Seemed like he was on the field for so many big NFL moments back in the day.

    Fists out, fingers raised. "The kick is good." RIP.
