College football bowl thread: Pop-Tarts Muzik

Between the time outs and not being prepared out there, let’s go 1916-style isolation on any land wars for a while.

 

I wonder, and this may have already been mentioned, if the bowls might shift to the start of the season. Let the bowls arrange whatever big-time (or small-time) matchups they can, and you won't have to worry about half the team opting out or the head coach already off at another job or fired. And fans and families might be more willing to spend to go to a destination game - even if that destination is Shreveport or Birmingham - at the start of the season than they will after their team has eked out a 7-5 record.

 

But would our enemies be expecting a nose guard to rumble 30 yards on a fake punt? I think not!

Something akin to the Labor Day weekend games at Jerry's World or Atlanta? Interesting.

The Ducks radio analyst, ex-player Emerson Etem, says this so often it drives me crazy. This Anaheim Ducks team ... this Anaheim Ducks team ... had a subpar outing against this Los Angeles Kings team ....
I got on an elevator with him a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to just tell him to stop. Dammit, Emo, you must have heard somebody on ESPN say that and now you do it. Just call them the Ducks, or Anaheim.

 

He heard an announcer say it on ESPN and would then go on to call them this Anaheim Ducks Team the next game.
