My God, the replies after the Shefter mic-dropper are just pure gold, one after the other.

Creator of the Go Go offense. I honestly figured a lower end G5 might take a shot at him. Time will tell if he thrives with all the stuff a head coach takes on beyond X’s and O’s but if he has an aptitude for it he will go places fast.

Honestly, I think xs and os are probably about fourth or fifth on the list of what big colleges are looking for in new coaches these days, just ahead of experience.

Also he's black, so the chances of him getting a nice job to start was not high.

I wonder if it is better to start out at a competitive FCS program instead of the bottom rungs of the MAC or C-USA?

Even though Sac State struggled last year, point taken and pretty accurate. Marion was up for the Tulsa job and I think that would have been death trap. At least Sac State is putting resources in the program.
