    There were eight seconds left after that play. It sucks for the Fightin’ Manchins, but it was the right call.

    I think the player is considered down the second he begins his slide, which is why the ball is placed where it was when he began the slide.

    Didn't see it, but when a player begins to slide, he's considered down at that point, not where he actually hits the ground. We're trained to spot the ball 2 yards back where he would be down by hitting the ground.

    There should be a law that if your bowl game is located south of I-10 the winning coach doesn’t get to sidestep the Gatorade bath.

    UNLV's entire interior line is 20 yards downfield, but because the guy caught the pass behind the LOS it's a legal play. Not so in the NFL, I don't think.
