UnitedHealthcare CEO shot and killed in NYC

My doctor is really a NP. She is a personal friend. I was in her wedding. I hope this auger thing works out. The first ENT she sent me to was quite an adventure. I've probably told this.
Guy looks up my nose. "Oh, I think what we need to do is cut off your nose, take cartridge from your ear, put it under the skin like a permanent Breathe Right strip, then rebuild your nose. Insurance won't pay for the procedure, and you will look like you've been in a car crash for about 6 months, but after that, I think we'll see some results."
Me: "Ha, ha. That's pretty good. Are we on Candid Camera? (Look around the room) Oh. Wait. What? You're serious? No. That's a hard no. We're not going to do that, Dr. Mengele."
Walking out of the office and before I even get to my truck, I call my doc, "Who the hell did you send me to, Frankenstein?"

 

My doctor is just a PA-C.
And she is just wonderful.
And I am just so lucky for that.

My PCP doctors always were good enough but just ... workmanlike ... serviceable ... distant.

Always seemed I was just ... part of their daily millwork: Get 'em in, get 'em out, "Here's your scripts," pat on the back, "Good to see you again."

Conversely, I saw my PA-C today just to get my scripts re-authorized for my pharmacy because she joined a differerent practice, and this is why I love her: We shot the shit for the first 10 minutes, mostly fun laughs about corporate practice takeovers and why it drove her out – "I just wanna help my people five days a week, not help them only two days a week and then have to push these cosmetic, expensive, corporate-dictated sideline 'therapies' for the other three days a week" – and then we went over my personal health stuff, which was fine again, and then we just shot the shit for 10 minutes again – and all the while I'm looking at my wonderful, lesbian, childless cat lady "doctor" and realizing again how much I love this young woman, and how she is so much a better "doctor" in my life than those worn-out MDs I'd been seeing in the past.

Translation? Try this on, MAGAts: My PA-C SARAH hates Fucko the Klown, too,
but she would do anything to save his life were he ever wheeled in on a gurney.

And that is our real America, if and when and where we still can find it.
Fucko doesn't realize how most Americans really like to help others out when they can.

This fuckin' asshole, who stares at the sun during an eclipse, thinks it's a sign of weakness.




Rant over, thanks. All the stories I'm hearing these days cut deep.
And so I realize that I'm fortunate not to be in that type of situation ... yet.

At least 20 guys (and only guys I think) in that photo, and ultimately, he was mostly caught because someone recognized him at McDonald's and because businesses had cameras.

 

What a fucking buffoon. Every NYC mayor, worse than the last.

 

They should at least let the fry cook who ratted him out join the little parade for the cameras.
