I think about that scene in Uncommon Valor when they rescue the POW and he's speaking Vietnamese

What's going on in Canada? I went to the post office today to mail my Christmas cards, including one destined for a cousin in New Market. I took it to the counter because I didn't know what the postage would be. They refused to accept it, saying that the Canadian postal service is on strike is not accepting mail.
Did Trump screw up Canada's post office, too, like he did in the U.S. by putting DeJoy in charge?

It is one school board in Kansas - and I'll be damned if we even got to landing on the moon when I took history in junior high and high school (graduated HS in the '80s). Don't know how they expect to get to Trump. And honestly, as a history major in college - you really need time to honestly examine the subject. I'd end a general history book at least 10 years before present day. At most, finish off the Afghanistan war and leave out the other stuff. Bin Laden is dead, the war is over and well, you know the rest.

Another horrible byproduct of holding the government hostage with the debt-ceiling/CR way of spending is that votes that would KILL a legislators career normally - voting against reforms on pharmacy benefits managers, restrictions on investments in China, funding kids cancer research - are simply left out of the final bill. And you know some lobbyists can now buy a boat because of that.

Yeah, I’d end a history book right now with the war on terror. And even that is hard to write anything definitive on. I wouldn’t touch the Great Recession yet. That’s still playing out.
