    was at bar last night with some friends, and this scene came up in conversation. Two people had never seen it. We tried in vain to explain how great it was.

    Will throw this one in here because it’s very likely George Gipp never said anything close to this, and it’s not entirely clear if Rockne made this speech that way.

    However, the cast of actors playing the Notre Dame got some frenzied that they went out and destroyed the set.

    My dad, I am told, saw "Airplane" so many times, he would start laughing hysterically 4-5 minutes before this scene came up, he loved it so much.
