An airport sketch with Tom Hanks in attendance? That telegraphed him as Sully from a mile away, though him popping up as Viktor Navorsky from "The Terminal" would've been a nice swerve.

Oh great. Bowen Yang as a drone.

The joke swap always kills. Adding a camera on ScarJo was inspired.

Holy fuck that joke swap was AWESOME.

"Y'all ain't seen no pictures of him yet because he black as hell."

But that joke exchange, with the cuts to Scarlett: holy hell, I was losing my breath laughing so hard.

I had to rewind to rewatch the last few jokes b/c I was laughing so hard.

By this point, the 12:50 sketch is going to be the start of Martin's goodbyes to fit in all the cameos.

Episode of the Year quality through Update, harmless but unmemorable content afterward. Would've liked a little more Martin.

The Update joke swap could go down as the sketch or segment of the season.

Fairytale of New York is a fine song. But I don’t think it’s really a Christmas song.

I thought last week's was the best episode of the season, but this one was neck-and-neck for the first hour.

I know they had to cut things for the added time from the five-timers and Update, but this was great. I would've run this instead of the Charlie Brown sketch or Sabado Gigante.

I guess this is Martin Short's thing now -- filmed Christmas bits where he ends up killing a bunch of people.
