It will be interesting to see how many folks show up at Fenway for the bowl game between UConn and North Carolina. It's not going to be too cold--mid to upper 30s, but there will be showers. Ordinarily I'd say no Bostonians would attend, but they might draw a few curious to see if Belichick will be there. He won't be coaching, but he might be there as an observer.

I hear UConn fans have bought a lot of the tickets.

Very sobering to look it up and realize the “young” Jim Mora is 63.

The Fenway Bowl is responsible for my single favorite piece of UVA swag I own. I went to a Sox game this year and took my kids to the team store across the street and found a deep-discount coozie celebrating the 2021 game between UVA and SMU that got canceled because of a COVID outbreak. You better believe I take that shit to every drinking function.

If this Sumrall guy posts another winning season at Tulane, he'll be in the mix for every one of several SEC jobs that come open in November 2025. Like, for example, LSU or Alabama.

If Alabama has to hire a football coach two years removed from Troy then Tuscaloosa is going to look like mid-80s Beirut by then.

    Good point.
How much would it take to whack the current coach a year from now?

Around $60 million, if my math is right.

Don't know how they can do that when the AD is passing the hat for cash to pay the players.
