The committee will have plenty of data to justify any decision on Drake.I don't know if it was Palm or Lunardi but two nights ago one of them said Drake won't make the tournament if it doesn't win the MVC championship. Crazy, they are now into the SF and are 28-3 overall. The MVC is a reputable conference, they won every game they played against P4 opponents (who wants to schedule them? No P4 team with a coach with brains), if you go 29-4 you should be in, even if you don't win the title. But Indiana State had a solid team and got snubbed last year, so I guess they better win.
They said the same thing about VCU. As much as it pains me to say it VCU should be a lock. They are outstanding.
The Bulldogs will have 28 or 29 wins as at-large candidates. Among them is a neutral-court victory at Vanderbilt. Before today, the Wins Above Bubble data point had them at plus-0.79 -- just above Gonzaga, San Diego State and UNC. That would change with a loss in the next two days. Don't know how much.
Non-Con SoS is 249th. That's what will be held out there as justification for exclusion. That and the fact that the chair is the UNC AD.
