I'd rather face Brazil than nobody.
There's a good chance the loser of Italy-Czech will be out. (More likely if it's Czech.)

Anyone know where the next World Cup will be?

That would be Dave O'Brien and Marcelo Balboa. And, yes, they're horrible. O'Brien announced his first soccer game ... six months ago. ESPN wanted a "fresh" voice on the games.

I like Healey-Smyth combo the best, with Dellacamera-Harkes right behind.
It seems to me Heatley-Smith and JP-Harkes are the only ones who can tell who has the ball without looking at a program.
If a non-star is involved, the others are clueless. (Except of course for the U.S. game).
It's like when Bob Prince did Pittsburgh Penguins games.
"They got it, we got it, they got it, we got it."

Big matches today for both England and Die Mannschaft. If both win, each goes in opposite brackets. If one wins and the other loses, what a way to start the second round.

Is anyone interested in the other two matches opposite these?

    Just checking. :)

Question regarding cumulative yellows: Does the slate get wiped clean for the knockout rounds, or does two yellows in the group stages mean your out for the 16s?

A yellow in the first (or second) and third group game = sit for second round.

Germans are already up a goal on Ecuador. And pressing for more.

Having two TVs in the same room is simply one of the best ideas I've had in a while. This is great.

This match is Germany's to lose. Great ball after great ball. Their defenders are too stout today.

  10. Agreed. The German defenders are not allowing Ecuador to play a ball-possession game. La Tri tried to string together some through balls to the forwards, but the Germans were up to those too.

Sweden-England will be a great game. There's hardly a team in Europe that gives England more fits than Sweden...

    Jawohl!

    Zwei zu null.

Can Klose get a hat trick?

That was as nice a goal as I've seen in this World Cup. Just gorgeous.
