Running, all-purpose World Cup thread

It certainly was, so much for that Revs - Red Bull game.

 

Her name is Cheryl Tweedy, she's Ashley Cole's fiance.  She was on the UK version of American Idol, now she's in a pop tart group called Girls Aloud.

She is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen.  Stunning doesn't describe her.  Google her to see.

 

For once, Germany is easy to root for. I hope they put a boot in Italy's ass. I've always loved me some Juergen Klinsmann. I'm rooting for him as much as I am my distant heritage.

I'm also leaning towards rooting for France against Portugal. I like Henry, I like Zidane. I don't dislike Portugal as much as some do, but they do tend to go into a shell of their own making.

And I don't think it's inappropriate at all to put Zidane ahead of Platini. Zidane's French teams have done far, far more than Platini's did. And people forget that Platini had similar talent around him in the late 70s, early 80s that Zidane has had since the late 90s.

 

Ignorant woman watching her first World Cup ... I can't stand Italy.  Is there a bigger bunch of diving pussies in the world????? And when their opponents lose because of Italy's diving, they mock them.

Sore losers are bad but there is nothing worse than a poor winner.

 

In a word, no.
