Oh come on ... I was just trying to cheer up Mr. Soprano after his Yanks were spanked like a monkey who has been inactive for a couple weeks.

As we celebrate Independence day it's really hard to rejoice in the Indians dominance of the Yankees since they still have their racist mascot logo. ;)

Was it really 22-0? Wow. I haven't looked at any scores yet.

I know the Sox beat the Yanks 22 to something a few years back, but 22-0? Wow.

Nah, just 19-1. The photo montage I posted was from the Tribe's rollicking 22-0 victory from a few years back (the one you're thinking of, probably).

If form holds, the Indians will lose tonight by a run or two. :-\

16 games back, bitches ... here we come!

Yeah, I'm reaching for a tissue.

I did try to keep Dr. J away from the TV after the Yanks started losing by double digits.

Back off topic, that Ernie Banks guy sucked, too, right? I'll take A-Rod on my team any day. Then again, he'd take up the whole payroll, so maybe that's not quite realistic.

Again, the guy won the MVP last year and he's going to the Hall of Fame. Yankee fans need to stop whining and enjoy watching that.

As a Pirates fan in the early '90s, I could have chosen to hate Barry Bonds for struggling in the post-season. Instead, I chose to enjoy the very short time my favorite team had the best player in the game (my opinion of Barry at the time, in his pre-huge-head days).

Personally, I find Chief Wahoo far more endearing than jerkoff Donald Trump parading around some owners' box.

Tribe may wish it saved a few of those 19. Yankees already up 9-1 in the fourth tonight.

I SWEAR I was actually thinking about how ill-advised this thread was yesterday, even though I didn't post it. I looked at the pitching match-up, Paul Byrd vs. Mike Mussina, and thought, "tomorrow's game has the potential to make half the people piling on in this thread feel foolish." At the end of the day, you know, the Indians are still, what, 16 games out?

I know I'm a day late, but the Yanks got thumped by the Indians two years ago. Was that not enough? I mean, fuck for fuck's sake. First 22-0 now 19-1. Jesus H. Christ.
