The New York Times also spells his first name "Corey."

So, the A's game should be postponed?

Go ahead, avoid the issue. I said nothing about cancelling the game. You just decided to jump to conclusions. Yeah, I'm sure you'd fuck around with a plane over the East River and a bunch of skyscrapers. Great place to do some loop-de-loos. Dickhead.

Of course, the fact that Lidle pitched for the Mets for a season might be a reason to cancel, if they so decide.

Ohhhh... it looks like one of those it-will-be-shitty-from-the-break-of-dawn-till-midnight days in NYC.

    That ain't clearing up.

How many of his teammates are still on the Mets?

FWIW, he pitched for the A's more recently than the Mets.

And, no, I don't think the game should be called off.

No, blood is not on Gillick's hands. He never told Lidle to got on that plane or fly that plane. He had nothing to do with this. Lidle might have done it just the same had the trade never happened, especially if he lived in NYC like so many players on the East Coast do.

    RIP Cory Lidle.

So the latest report is two dead, Lidle and his instructor?

    Dude....

NO ... ONE... in any seriousness said Gillick had any responsibility.

Yet, leave it to you to respond as such.

    Forgot about that.

So yes, now I do think both games should be postponed a night.

Maybe I'm insensitive and cynical, but why do people insist on piloting these small planes. There seems to be at least a prominent person dying every year because of this. And, if this was a pitcher from Tampa Bay, would this really be dominating the WWL... I understand the original 9/11 concerns, but they seem to have moved past those....
