I'm not into the scene, but it reminds me a lot of A.C.

I love damien rices stuff, he is very passionate about what he does. You can tell in the way he sings all of his songs. I agree with what you said about "O" I havent got my hands on 9 yet but Im going today.

Sitting here in a hotel room in Montreal, listening to (and enjoying very much) the new album by City and Colour, called Sometimes.

The "band" is essentially Dallas Green, playing an acoustic guitar and singing about love and life on the road, occassionally with some piano in the background.

It's quite a departure for him. I know most of you won't know who he is, but he's the guitarist and one of the singers for a Canadian band called alexisonfire, a strangely melodic screamcore act.

Anyway, for those of you who like some mellow smoke, you might want to give it a try. The song "day old hate" is a good starting point if you want a sample.

The entire record is really, really good, though. Sounds like driving through winter.

The Damien Rice got great reviews that I've seen, and since he's offered up as a singer/songwriter alternative to whininess (James Blunt/John Mayer) I may try him out.

Whatever, James Blunt is a guilty pleasure. I'm not buying his CDs or anything, but I don't turn him off when he's on XM either.

    I'm beautiful, it's true.

  8. Once again, it's the time of the year for Springsteen's take on the Phil Spector arrangement of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town," which proves for all time what a great bassist Garry W. Tallent is. Cut's obviously live. But where and when?

Lyrically, The Game is one of the best(I think he's the best) out there. 300 Bars was one of the greatest diss tracks of all time. But I think he took the G-Unit dissing a little too far. Haven't heard his new CD yet, but I'll probably get that soon.
