That would have been true if it were the D from the beginning of the year with Mike Brown and Tommie Harris.

But sometimes the team needs the O to come through. I see the RBs coming through in the next 2 games.

Bears -- your Super Bowl XLI champions.

Dye, how is pointing out Grossman's inconsistencies bandwagoning?

Sorry . . . . Big, CHAMPIONSHIP games. Not first-rounders where his team is clearly favored. Games where the eyes of the world are on him, where actual rings are on the line.

Dude lost in the playoffs every time in high school. Dude couldn't beat Florida. Dude can win the early-round playof games all day. But not the ones for all the marbles.

  4. You're out of your goddam mind. If you don't think the Saints-Bears game is a big deal, you're a moron. Anyone who considers themself a sports writer knows that the Saints going to the Super Bowl is a way bigger story than that Bettis crap last year. And I can guarantee you that there are more Bears fans across the country than Indy and New England. Wake up, meat.

There's pointing out inconsistencies, and then there's pinning the outcome on the mistaken belief that the guy has no chance of success.

1-1 in playoff games. Soon to be 2-1.

Never said he never had a chance. Simply said he needs better protection than a Brady or a Manning would because he hasn't shown any ability to make big plays or hit hot reads when the pressure comes. He panics.

Grossman can win Sunday. He just needs a lot more help than the other three quarterbacks left to do so.

Yes, when your team gives up 40+ points a game, the QB can't beat Florida.

Pope, there's no chance being heard above the Greek chorus here.

Tennessee 30, Auburn 29, SEC Championship. Overcame six turnovers by his teammates to pull off that miracle.

Dude humbly apologizes that he couldn't get the team the 63 points it needed to beat Florida in 1995.

Dude also humbly apologizes that he wasn't on the field to tackle those Steelers players who chewed up first down after first down en route to a 14-0 lead last year.

And finally, Dude humbly apologizes for only getting his team in position to kick the tying FG last year, only to see some idiot kicker send the ball at a 60-degree angle toward the fans in Section D.

OK, fans, here's the trivia question that knocked my son's team out of the contest at the BU pub last night.
Of the four quarterbacks remaining in the playoffs, which two had the most games with a passer rating over 100 this season?
    Answer later.
