    I believe Carroll played for Harris at UOP, back in the day (when the Tigers still had football).

    Next thing you know Ralph Willard will have another career revival in sunny Southern Cal.

    harris is part of the u of pacific "rat pack" that bruce coslet helped develop. walt and carroll were on coslet's jets staff. i haven't checked to regresh my memory, but walt may have been on carroll's one-year jets staff.

    Word was Carl Smith, the recently fired Jax OC who'd been QB coach at SC before that, was going to likely be rehired. Hate for a great guy like Wlat to miss out on a gig, but that's what I'd heard.

    Hopefully they'll keep Walt as far away from recruiting as possible.
