No one seems to be inspired by Bellerive as the site for the final summer PGA Championship.

Would think Justin Thomas has a fine chance to repeat.

I don't think Tiger contends. He looks a little tired, as was noted on the golf thread.

Sneaky play this week: Joaquin Niemann at anywhere from 60-1 to 80-1.

Brilliant idea to have the PGA in St. Louis during August. Rumor has it they were looking at hosting it at a course on the sun but the course was seen talking with the USGA.

I love what the PGA of America does to their courses...…..Nothing.
Here it is. Go get it.
If you shoot 262 or 282. Congratulations.

It's not going to be nearly as bad as Tulsa in 2007, when the temps were 105 all week (not heat index ... temperatures). Southern Hills is a sauna when it's 80 when you go below the hill where 1 and 10 tee and 9 and 18 green is, and it was the most oppressive, hottest I've ever felt in my life. The running joke in the media center was that if John Daly didn't die, anyone could walk the course. He made the cut and tied for 32nd.

Mark Brooks has more PGA Championship wins than Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer combined.

Was thinking about next year and the years to come. Mid-May is too early for championship golf at championship level courses in New England and I'll bet the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest, too. Dicey in the NYC area. West Coast is pretty far from the other Tour stops at that time (Texas). My guess is we'll see a lot of Kiawah, Quail Hollow and Valhalla.
