After the 10th inning, make the manager cut off a limb when he makes a pitching change.

Gotta want it. This shit counts.

As a lifelong Brewers fan, I went through a stretch in the 90s where Milwaukee was the team that had one reserve guy that probably didn't deserve to make it anyway (Rickey Bones anyone). But when that one guy made it into the game, it was always my highlight of the game.

It really is a Catch 22...unless of course they make the game NOT count, and just alternate home field advantage or give it to the team with the better record...

And for all those that are saying the AL is harder or whatever, get off it. They do it in the NBA, and teams in the West have to play WAY more teams in the West than the East teams, but the West teams sometimes have better records...same story in the NHL...They give playoff HFA based on best record...why can't it work that way for the WS?

As far as rosters go, if you can get every position player in the game, then that's great. But with pitchers, it depends on the game. If one side is up by four or five after four innings, I have no problem going with one pitcher an inning the rest of the way to get as many as possible.

But when its close like tonight, don't burn K-Rod for one out in a tie game in the ninth.

My steadfast rule is that the home-town guys have to play above all others. Outside of that, I think seniority and star power should rule -- unless someone goes to the manager and gives up their chance to play for someone else. Sorry Brian Wilson, but no one wants to watch you pitch. I don't care if it's potentially your only chance.

Same here. I'd like to see everyone play. It's good for the fans, and it's good for the players -- at least I think so. Who knows how my life would have been if Todd Hundley didn't get an at-bat? But you've got to play the game first, see the pace, what's going to happen down the line before you say, "OK, Wilson, you'll be pitch 2/3s of an inning in the seventh. ..." That's foolish.

Hurdle did things exactly right tonight. Francona got lucky, it seemed.

And how about the word out of New York that next in line to pitch was David Wright?

He probably would have thrown six scoreless innings, while striking out 12 hitters -- blindfolded.

What would the AL have done? THEY WERE OUT OF POSITION PLAYERS OH MY GOD I'M SO SAD NOBODY BROUGHT THAT UP DURING THE TELECAST.

    God I hate Fox.

David Wright would have pitched for both teams.
