    Seriously?

    Fuck WWE.

Edge and Cena win their title matches.

That HHH-Kozlov match was fucking brutal. Kozlov simply isn't ready to perform at a main-event level. He looked terrible.

What an awful PPV, and the WWE should be ashamed of themselves for pulling this on the fans regarding Jeff Hardy.

My WWE viewing pleasure increased without Cena around. Now he's back, he's the champ and Goldie is probably gonna spin. Fuck Cena.

    Sigh ...

And so glad to see they just ditched the whole Taker sending Edge to "hell" storyline for this...

When my nephew sent me the text that Cena won, I was hardly shocked. Still, this is just another sign that WWE is spiraling towards a bridge to nowhere that's slowly making people get the hell off.

As for the Hardy "news," it's obvious the McMahons haven't learned anything since Benoit. I still insist that the only thing that will change this industry is having a marquee name buy the farm on a PPV or a live Raw.

Cena was clearly a panic movie. It's good for the McMahons and their business (ie tumbling stocks) to see the current face of the industry with the marquee championship. Even if he's not ready for it, and showed some noticeable ring rust last night.

It was definitely a lack luster PPV to someone who was in attendance at the Garden last night. The Triple H-Kozlov match was brutally boring and provided no pop or exciting moments. The entire crowd erupted into a "Boring!" chant and the entire PPV was just awful. The crowd never really got into any of the matches other than the Cena/Y2J match simply because it was Cena's hometown. I was very disappointed with the Undertaker/Big Show match as it seemed they were rushing the match the entire time they were out there.

The crowd, as you'd figure, really dug right into Edge when he ran down the ramp as we all thought it was Hardy. The kid behind me couldn't understand what was going on as he screamed "NO! NO!" for about five minutes straight.

Don't get me started about the Divas match. Quite a few people left to go get food and for the reminder that stayed, many were more interested in Santino's presence at ringside than the competition going on in the ring.

Overall, the ticket was definitely worth buying as I never go to these events, nevertheless a PPV. By the way, it looked like Edge gained a shitload of weight and the Grizzly Adams thing he has going on needs to go.

  8. Definitely see this movie. I saw it last month at the Chicago International Film Festival and it was worth the $35 I paid for two tickets. And my girlfriend, who hates pro wrestling, thought it was a really good film.

If you've seen Beyond the Mat, you'll notice a lot of similarities in Rourke's character. He's a little bit of Jake the Snake and a little bit of Terry Funk.

I thought they absolutely nailed the behind-the-curtain stuff in terms of going over the matches beforehand, the incredibly muscular wrestler selling steroids, and the life of an independent wrestler.

The movie has that Rocky-like storyline, but that makes it a simple movie to follow. And Marisa Tomei still looks pretty good naked!

But seriously, I can see an Oscar nomination for Rourke. He played the part well. The screening I saw was attended by the director and it was interesting to hear about his experience working with Rourke. It was pretty much the director's way or no way, though he did have to concede to some things. Apparently they went through the script line-by-line and changed Rourke's lines to way he was comfortable saying them. Also, the director did a lot of research in terms of the behind-the-scenes stuff and said Beyond the Mat helped.

I thought Big Show-UT was awful. AWFUL.

I missed the end of the Cena-Jericho match because my internet stream locked up. How did he win?

Edge coming back was pretty cool, but I'm surprised HHH actually jobbed.

Orton, I thought, got a pretty good pop from the crowd when he nailed the RKO on Botchtista. Either the fans hate Batista because he simply sucks or Orton is that much of a badass.

I was completely shocked when I heard the pop that Orton got for coming out to the ring for the match, getting tagged into the ring and then winning the match. He seemed to get a much louder pop than Batista.

That's because Orton can actually wrestle and is fantastic as a badass/bratty heel. Batista has been atrocious the last few weeks, and he looked like he could barely move last week on Raw...dude needs a vacation.
