David VE might have been passable, but I still think having the VEs at the top hurts him more than it helps and yes, I know he was in Florida and in the Central States (Missouri) area outside of the Texas area.

As for MM's good discussion question: Best wrestler who's never been a world champ?

My list in no particular order:
Ted DiBiase, Greg Valentine (in his early NWA days, although he and Tito Santana had very good IC title matches), Bruiser Brody and Bam Bam Bigelow. I'd say Piper, too, but that would have been based more on his gimmick and draw rather than his wrestling ability (though he also had a great feud with Valentine).

And two guys who deserved better despite actually winning a world title:
Curt Hennig (he did win the AWA title, but it was a token thing to prevent him from jumping to the WWF as Mr. Perfect)
Rick Rude (solid ability, should have been given the WWF title instead of Warrior)

Better video of the angle; watch it now before WWE has it pulled.

  3. They just showed it in slow motion on RAW. Fucking brutal punches. Oh, and there are MITB qualifying matches tonight.

Gee, who would have thought it? John Cena, Triple H and Randy Orton in a triple-threat match at Wrestlemania. Took me about two seconds to think that up when I saw the results last night. There's more imagination in a 3-year-old's mind that there are in setting up the next big deal in WWE.

Took me about two seconds to think that up when Cena challenged Orton for No Way Out instead.

Those matches were fucking amazing. I remember watching one of the last matches between them on WWE 24/7 just sitting there in awe at what I was seeing.

And Styles' "Holy shit!" was awesome.

How about having the Money in the Bank match consist of only the high flyers in the company -- Kendrick, London, Jimmy Wang Yang, Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Little Guido and Jeff Hardy? Or, since Hardy's a main eventer, put Shelton Benjamin in there with them. It would be a kickass match.

  8. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Sorry guys, but I am not impressed with Katie Lea.

  9. Blasphemy.

Those late '90's matches were incredible.

Hell, even their match at One Night Stand '05 stole the show and was one of the top matches of that year.

    I agree. Don't see it.

  12. Thanks Gutter cause I just don't see it either.
