I'm probably overrating Utah, but beating TCU has to count for something good.

And between the Frogs and suddenly-hot Cincy, Oklahoma has a damn good strength of schedule argument should the Big XII come down to a three-way quagmire.

i hate how people overrate bsu cause they beat oklahoma 2 years ago. they play in a terrible conference. a conference so bad wazzu could win 5 games in it. plus, ky, you moved bsu up 2 slots for beating utah fucking state, while only moving utah up one slot for beating RANKED tcu. that's fucked up. you wanna keep penn state in the top ten? fine. put utah where shitty boise state is. it's that simple.

I've had Boise ahead of the Utes all season. And i wasn't gonna punish Boise when it won.

With the exception of USC a few weeks ago, i try to avoid that.

So, you would overlook non-conference wins at 7-3 Oregon and at home against Bowling Green (which won at Pitt) and Louisiana Tech because they play in a weak conference? You know, you can be a good team that happens to play in a weak conference. It's not impossible.

Here's what slappy got from me moments ago.

    1. Alabama (only team that stayed put from my top five last week)
    2. Texas Tech
    3. Texas
    4. Oklahoma
    5. Southern California
    6. Florida
    7. Utah
    8. Boise State
    9. Penn State
    10. Ohio State
    11. Oklahoma State
    12. Mizzou
    13. Ball State
    14. Texas Christian
    15. Brigham Young
    16. Georgia
    17. North Carolina
    18. Michigan State
    19. Florida State
    20. Oregon
    21. Pittsburgh
    22. Louisiana State
    23. Oregon State
    24. Cincinnati
    25. Miami (Fla.)

Biggest rise -- Nos. 19 Florida State, No. 20 Oregon and No. 21 Pittsburgh, up four spots
Biggest fall -- No. 9 Penn State, down seven spots
Breaking in -- No. 23 Oregon State; No. 24 Cincy, No. 25 Miami (Fla.)
Dropping out -- No. 19 Maryland; No. 20 California; No. 22 Georgia Tech

So, to ask again, do you simply disregard a strong non-conference win like Boise State had at Oregon because of its conference?
