I voted Florida... To me, the Gators are playing the best ball right now...
They beat Bama, I'll vote Bama No. 1. It will piss Ms. Slappy off, who is waiting for the other shoe to drop like a lot of Bammers, but they will have proved it.

Like those other three (and like Hawaii a year ago), Bama is an undefeated team that isn't the best team in Division I-A.

And Florida's beaten only one team that's ranked in the top 25 this season. There's an Oklahoma-Texas dilemma. USC and Penn State are lacking in quality wins.

Tell me, who do you believe is the best team in the country?

I dunno... Penn State beat Oregon State, which USC couldn't.


Next year, I couldn't agree more. PSU's non-conference slate? Akron, Syracuse, Temple, Eastern Illinois

You're right, I did phrase it wrong. I shouldn't have said they lack quality wins, because Penn State has beaten Ohio State and Oregon State.

Florida, which lost to a half-decent team early in the season, is the best team in the country right now, in my opinion. I'm not sure why everyone wants to hang the Gators for their loss. It's not like they lost to Louisiana-Monroe. Hell, Ole Miss is prolly gonna play in the Cotton Bowl. That loss wasn't that bad, folks.
