That must be the award given to the top senior quarterback at an SEC school in the state of Alabama.

    Good lord, are you serious?

    Tee hee hee.

Jay Barker won the award in 1994 when he wasn't really that great, but a little more "heady" than JPW. But he didn't have Harrell, McCoy, etc., to compete against.

The current starting quarterbacks at Jax State, Tuskegee and Troy are all more talented than JPW, in my opinion. I don't know what Alabama State or Alabama A&M have.

A badly-done poll on limited sleep after being punch drunk on Iron Bowl giddiness.

BC and BYU are new, Oregon State and Western Michigan get shown the exit.

Florida got punished the week they lost. Then they got rewarded for their dominance against a schedule that included Georgia, LSU and Florida State. Unless they can never make up for their loss, I don't see the problem.

I don't mean to speak for someone else, but I can see it. Both have lost to a four-loss team on the road. There's Oregon State as a common opponent. Also, while both beat Ohio State, USC did so at home against Boeckman and no Beanie Wells, Penn State did so at Columbus against Pryor and a healthy Wells.

Here are the highlights of what I sent slappy moments ago. No changes in my top five (actually, 11) ...

    1. Alabama
    2. Oklahoma
    3. Texas
    4. Southern California
    5. Florida

Biggest rise -- Five teams, all up three spots
Biggest fall -- No. 21 Mizzou, down eight spots
Breaking in -- No. 24 Ole Miss; No. 25 Iowa
Dropping out -- No. 16 Oregon State; No. 23 Florida State
