Say what you will about our poll, but at least none of us were involved in this exchange ...

You'd expect that from the Maple Leafs' Pat Quinn, but not... well, I would expect that from the Big 12.. carry on...

I'm now more convinced than ever that a certain afternoon sports program that Slappy has declared jihad against uses SportsJournalists.com for show prep.

I know one level-headed member of said group views this site on occasion and gets some ideas. I can't speak for the wise-beyond-his-years producer and the fanboi...

I'm convinced Cowherd looks at this thread. I've seen a couple of arguments here repeated on his show.

I'm convinced Versus is going to start leading its sports show with this poll every Monday.

    I still wouldn't watch.

My top five for this week ...

    1. Oklahoma (2)
    2. Texas (3)
    3. Florida (5)
    4. Alabama (1)
    5. Penn State (6)

... I moved Penn State above USC, which dropped two. After looking at their schedules, I just liked Penn State better -- Oregon State as a common opponent, combined with beating Pryor/Wells at Columbus in late October as opposed to USC beating Boeckman/no Wells in Los Angeles in mid-September. I like JoePa head-to-head next month.

Oz, did you consider putting Utah in front of USC as well? They also have a win over Oregon State. And they're undefeated.

Texas is #1 on my submission.

They beat OU, and their loss was on the road, by a very small margin to a top-10 team.

Florida lost at home at a decent team.

USC lost to a good team, but not as good as Texas Tech.

End of discussion in my mind.
