I just hate you, that's why I voted USC No. 1.

    Is that cool?

Seriously, though, I think USC's defense is the best in the nation. Sure, its offense isn't as good as some teams, but its defense is the best hands down.

So, they may not pull an Oklahoma and score 60 on hapless Missouri, but USC would've held Missouri to 100 yards and 6 first downs and 7 points.

They are the No. 1 team in my mind.

Fine with me. Hell, that's the only honest explanation I've seen.

If I thought for a minute about you when I make my picks, I would have done the same, PaperDragon.

I guess next time I'll just post some hemming and hawing, and then "change my mind" in the middle of my picks post. All the better to cover my own ass and be able to rip everyone else, right?

Just admit you're a Pac-10 fanboi disguising yourself as a neutral observer by feeding us all these lame excuses. No way would they get consideration over Texas or Oklahoma. USC hasn't earned shit. No mystery why they're not getting even a sniff of the championship game.

    HA!

    Yes, dunce, I'm a "Pac-10 fanboi."

I do like that it has a complete round-robin, sure.

I understand that when we post our polls, we're going to be asked questions. I just prefer my questioner to be a little more . . . informed. I saw where you were going with this a mile away, and thought that maybe you wouldn't say it, that you weren't this dumb. You certainly don't present yourself as being this lost.

    "Uh, uh . . . I think:

    1. OU
    2. Florida
    3. Texas

WAIT!! I changed my mind . . .I wanna be able to talk shit to everyone who picked OU or Texas:

    1. Texas
    2. Florida
    3. OU

    Ha HA! Bunch of FANBOYS!!!!!!!"

My multiple degrees from Pac-10 schools have bought my loyalty, absolutely. Best conference in the country!

    Way off base, PaperDragon.

Your questioner wasn't even man enough to ask for a ballot in our poll at the beginning of the season.

He said he didn't have the time to devote to it. I'm thinking the real reason is he was just scared.

Actually, I was inviting people to rip on my initial ranking but then I re-read what Slappy wrote and voted my conscious. I still think Texas deserved to go. But, as my thread post shows, I wouldn't rip someone at this point for picking Oklahoma instead of Texas. I can see both sides.

But USC as No. 1 is still stupid as fuck. So there you go.

    I consciously voted my conscience.

And Hank: PaperDragon wasn't around before (re-)registering in October. I do feel that someone who makes sport of challenging everyone else's considered thoughts should post some of his own. In this case, a poll. He says he doesn't have time for such things. But there is time to act like a jerk, apparently.

I respect his efforts in trying to make up for lost time in filling the Troll of the Year void.

Rest assured, PD, you can stop campaigning.

It's his opinion, 'PD.' Why the hell can't you respect that and shut up about it?

    I am not content.

And so I'm a troll for disagreeing with you? A scared troll at that?

You know, I've been playing relatively nice because I don't want to get the thread locked. You guys are the one calling names and saying I can't get laid (maybe I should read more comic books) because you don't want to argue facts. You want to make an idiot statement like USC is No. 1 and have everyone just bow to you and your "degrees." Just tell me one (1!) thing USC has actually done to earn a No. 1 spot. Just one.
