Because polls don't mean much in a class that actually settles its winner on the field through a series of playoff games.

My guess, without seeing what happens Saturday, freefall.

Snead looked like shit against Memphis... proved it tonight in a game that counts in the greatest conference in the world.

    Two things:
-- Why has Boom been asking about D3 stuff lately?
-- How far do you drop the Rebs at this point? Ten spots?

i'll drop the rebs at least 15 spots, maybe a few less.

I have never understood how Ole Miss was getting so much love to warrant a top 5 ranking?
The SportsJournalists.com poll has them 11th this week. What were they preseason?
I imagine they will be unranked in my poll come Monday, depending on what else transpires this weekend.

A lot of it was how they looked against Texas Tech in Cotton Bowl . What was not considered was that they lost a few of their dominate O line which allowed them to control the ball.

Watching last night, I thought they had some damn big O-lineman.

Even by SEC standards (do I need blue font here?)

Ole Miss beat Florida at their place, waxed LSU and beat Texas Tech pretty handily last year and returned the QB and plenty of top skill players and top DE Greg Hardy

So there's talent. On talent, they probably are a top 10-15 team. But they have Houston Nutt as their coach. What'll happen now is they'll beat either Alabama or LSU (or both) but lose to either Arkansas or Auburn (or both)

I'll probably put them about 18. South Carolina had a lot to do with them looking bad, but put this loss on Nutt. He's never handled the high expectations
