If the Hall thinks it can terminate Gonzo for cause and get out of what it owes him (if Gonzo's a bad guy, how stupid does SH look for extending him last fall)?, they better be prepared for the mother of all lawsuits.
Yes, his guys misbehaved off the court.
Yes, they weren't too disciplined on it (and I'm not even talking about Pope's nut shot - I'm talking about the 29-point lead on Providence they almost pissed away in 13 minutes).
Yes, Gonzo picked up a few Ts.
Last time I looked, Gonzo hadn't engaged in any crime or moral turpitude. He lost control of his program...like a thousand guys before him.

Gonzo's extension was agreed to in principle but never signed. They can pay him for next year and he's gone-zo.

Seton Hall looks bad for hiring him in the first place when everybody in the NYC area knew he was a bad guy.

And the next shoe to drop is a former Hall player is the other guy they will nab for the burglary with Robert Mitchell. The warrant for his arrest supposedly was issued Thursday.

UO should just tell Westhead to take over the mens program.

  5. Well, Norm Roberts is now out at St. John's.

So, the agents for Fran McCaffery and Tom Pecora now get to pit St. John's against Seton Hall against Fordham. And, the benefactor who held back $10M when SJU passed over Matt Doherty for Roberts just may get another shot at coughing up that money.

Pretty sure Faulkner State is in the market for a new assistant.

Seton Hall, Fordham or St. Johns would be smart to try and hire Mike Rice from Robert Morris.

This could complicate UO's search for a new men's BBall coach: AD Bellotti will hold a press conference today to "make an important announcement about leadership at the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics."

After watching WVU-Morgan State this question came to mind - has Todd Bozeman done enough soul cleansing during his purgatory at Morgan State to become less toxic and thus allow a real program to hire him yet?

    After reading articles on Lebo:

He got to stick around for six years at a job paying about $750,000 per year. $750,000 a year for a guy that puts "TWO TIME NIT QUARTERFINALIST" near the top of his resume.
