I'm starting to think Cena returning so soon is a work.

Why not. And then wehn Ziggler beats ADR, Sandow cashes in and we get a blood feud between Sandow and Ziggler, who have already been working against each other.

If Cena coming back isn't a setup for something that takes him out of commission (ADR or unknown thugs attack him in West Newbury or something -- hey, Carlito's bodyguard is available!), then it's a really big wasted opportunity. Squandering the return of your big name on the secondary belt held by the heatless champion is anticlimatic.

If they wanted to go that route, why not sign an ADR-RVD rematch for HIAC (lol letters), attack RVD and put him out of commission, then Vicki makes him defend his title against a mystery opponent on the PPV, which everyone assumes is someone like Kofi or Ziggler when in fact BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR APPLEDOUGH it's Cena, making a surprise return and winning Goldie, then turning his attention to the McMahons.

Because when you get right down to it, having Cena screwing around with the No. 2 belt and not being involved in a feud over being The Face of WWE is just silly.

One caveat: If CENAWINSLOL and holds the World title, and he starts a feud to unify the belts at Wrestlemania, then I can get on board with that. They could do a Cena-Bryan rematch, or a Cena-Orton match with Bryan-HHH high up the card.

I don't think unifying the belts is ever going to happen btw. But I like the idea.

I think it's something that should happen, especially with them completely forgetting the brand split. But that would mean Sandow's briefcase becomes meaningless.

There are also rumors that HBK is considering a comeback at WM to work with Bryan. Which can be started by setting up HBK to pretend to support Bryan because he trained him (somewhat), then switch to Trips because they're besties and screw Bryan over.

Of course, if this does happen, they'll have to explain a way where the Undertaker allows HBK to step back in the ring, since the caveat behind their rematch was that if HBK lost, he had to retire. Maybe something where Corporate DX beats on Bryan until Taker agrees to let HBK come back, or something.

As far as Cena goes, yeah, it seems a little weird for him to come back, with little surprise or fanfare, and against Del Rio, who he has little issue with.

I really hope putting Cena in a feud with ADR isn't a plan to unify the titles. Even with the way it's been watered down, I like having both. It gives them some options with their top feuds -- like putting Cena in a feud with the "B" champ, while still giving Bryan a chance to run with the ball as the "A" champ. There's also a history with Goldie that'd be a shame to see pass into history just for the hell of it.

  8. Wouldn't putting the belt on Cena at least give the "B" title a little more prestige? I'd think even if they don't unify, at least you'd now have two titles that carry some weight if a guy like Cena was carrying the supposed lesser of the two.

Only reason to put the belt on Cena to me is to unify them. There are others they could put the belt on to elevate it if they wanted to. And this isn't even like Cena saying he wanted the belt -- he's just being thrown into the match. Would arguably cheapen it if he said, "Yeah, I won this belt, but the one I really want is the WWE Title."

I lean toward it being a set-up to keep him out another month or two and set up a feud down the road.

BTW, the CM Punk documentary part of his DVD is on Netflix (and so is Mick Foley's new one) and I found it to be pretty well done.

Is there any chance that whatever their deal is with the Suzanne Komen Foundation makes them want to have Cena on TV in some capacity, hence the work? Seems far fetched but you never know
