    Will Shields
    Charles Haley
    Michael Strahan

Could the committee go all-in on special teams with Guy and Andersen?

Don't blame me — they released the names tonight.

My guess is Bettis, Brooks, Brown, Dungy, Jones and Strahan from this list, and Guy from the seniors committee.

Harrison deserves it based on his on-field accomplishments (maybe more than Brown), but his shadiness involving guns will keep him out for a while. Same goes for Haley's general insanity.

If Dungy makes it on the first ballot (which he probably will) when more accomplished coaches like Madden and Stram had to wait for years, it will be undeserved.

What I think they will do:

    Marvin Harrison
    Derrick Brooks
    Walter Jones
    Michael Strahan
    Aeneas Williams

What I'd like them to do:

    Derrick Brooks
    Andre Reed
    Will Shields
    Charles Haley
    Michael Strahan

On the field, Marvin Harrison >> Tim Brown.

It's probably closer than you think when you consider the parade of bad quarterbacks Brown played with (Rich Gannon excepted), as opposed to Harrison spending almost his entire career with Peyton Manning.

Also, Brown never (allegedly) opened fire on a public street and (possibly) killed a guy.

I'd like to see Reed get in before or at the same time as Harrison. I won't have a problem if Harrison gets in first ballot, but I feel like Reed should have gotten in by now.

One of the receivers will get in
    Brooks is a first-ballot lock.
I think Strahan gets in this year.
I think Jones gets in over Shields.
Dungy on the first ballot is a fucking joke, but I think it's going to happen.

No way does Brown get in this year. I would say he's a pretty distant third among the three WR finalists.

Dungy over Jimmy Johnson is comical.

I understand what Dungy meant to the NFL in being the first black coach to win a Super Bowl. I really do.

However, looking at his body of work as a whole, I have a hard time finding a coach who was MORE overrated.
