The Allen tweets are inappropriate and wrong. White people cannot use that word!

In reading the Yahoo story, I did find this addition...bizarre.

While this one isn’t necessarily offensive, Allen also shared his public dislike for NBA star LeBron James in 2011.

    I hate LeBron!!!!! #LeBronSucks

    — Josh Allen (@JoshAllenQB) June 7, 2011

Isn't necessarily offensive? It's not offensive, period. LeBron played for Miami at the time. Most people in Cleveland hated him exactly that much.

It did seem like the writer was trying to suggest something there.

LeBron in 2011 was considered a basketball villain around much of the country, so I don't read much into that tweet, either.

I think the writer was trying to suggest it'd be offensive to Cleveland.

Except it was made in 2011. When Cleveland hated James with every fiber of its being and cheered his failure.

But that's a weird addition, no doubt. Watch for people combing back through tweets in 3-4 years to see how somebody viewed Colin Kaepernick at the time. It'll happen.

I don't trust anyone's football knowledge who declares Brady or Rodgers definitively better.

The most bizarre thing was that he didn't know what else to do so he personally called Stephen A. Smith and apologized.

Just make a statement through your agent or claim you got hacked like the other people that get caught with dumb racist shit on their Twitter.

Ben Roethlisberger was spared by a few years of Silicon Valley innovation. His high school Twitter feed would have undoubtedly been an all-timer.

Offensive talk on social media has, and will, cost them scholarships.[/nonsnarkmode]

Agreed. Roethlisberger had been in the league for a while before anybody realized what a jackass he is.

    Maybe Allen was being ironic.

    No, no, no, no, no.

Guys like Allen (and DiVicenzo) are trying to be black!

That's what's so funny about their Tweets them getting characterized as "racist." These guys love black people.
