Hey I have an idea, if you spend several millions over the luxury tax threshold then you don't get to have a champagne celebration after winning the fucking ALDS over a fraud Minnesota team.

For the Yankees, it's WS or nothing.

 

And if you are in the top 10 in payroll and don't make the playoffs you draft at the bottom of the order anyway. BOSOX, Cubs, Phillies, Angels and Mets

The players have to bus to and from the airport in addition. There can't be more than 14-16 hours from the time the team leaves one stadium and the time the team reports at the next. Most people won't sleep very well in that situation. The league would have to bring back greenies in order to get rid of travel days.

Does any other sport have champagne celebrations like baseball after every round of the playoffs, or are they reserved for the final game?

 

Does any of the other big four sports have champagne parties after every round of the playoffs, or is reserved for winning the championship game/series?

 

You might see some for teams that make the finals/Super Bowl, but sure as hell not for winning a first-round series.
