    Nats bats weren't particularly hot in the NLCS. 2 HRs in 4 games. Rendon hit .417 but only 1 Xbase hit. Timely hitting.
    They never played an inning they were behind.

    and as a note to some loudmouth knoweverything Cubs fan. The Chicago Cubs, since the World Series started as official, have never swept an opponent in a post-season series.

    The Rockies swept two teams in 2007. How did they do in the World Series?

    What a stupid stat to try and use as some kind of gotcha.

    I was talking to my folks the other day - between the power outages and the recent earthquakes (includuing one in Hollister, which lies atop the San Andreas) the anniversary couldn't come at a worse time.

    Maybe the starters drop off a little, but it's not like they don't have the ability and track record. The Nationals are going to have a big advantage in starting pitching if they face the Yankees and they can at least hold their own with the Astros.
