Tigers fans will be watching Spencer Torkelson and Riley Greene
This year it’s on the same day as the first round of the draft

Nice to see Frank Schwindel of NJ get another shot at majors with Oakland. He was tearing up the PCL.

The name they use for the game always brings this song to mind ... which is cool, because it's a great song.

Cubs jump out to a 7-0 lead over Brewers in top of 1st.

    Now trail 14-7 after 4.

    That’s Cub.

And that’s one of the reasons he is the greatest baseball player ever. No one is close and no one has ever been close

There is zero doubt that Ruth is the greatest major leaguer ever. Where that leaves his contemporary Negro League peers is impossible to determine. They live in anecdote, which is better for writers but hard on the analytic figure filberts.

It's 12:45 a.m. in N.Y. as the Angels' Jared Walsh hits a grand slam off Chapman in the top of the 9th. 8-8. Angels still batting. The game started at 7 p.m. EDT and shortly thereafter, the Yankees scored 7 runs in the first off Ohtani.

Now 1 a.m. in N.Y. Angels restarted the rally and scored 7 to lead, 11-8. Yankees got 7 in the first, Angels got 7 in the ninth.

Yankees go down 1-2-3 in the ninth. Game ends at 1:07 a.m.

Miguel Cabrera hit .329 in June and is up to .240
He hit his seventh homer in last night’s DH sweep of the Indians and has 494, so he should get to 500
He needs 81 hits for 3,000 so he has a fighting chance
