Diceman persona wore off more than 3 decades ago. That said he is an OK actor in recent small bit roles like Lady Gaga's father in "A Star is Born."

Wonder if he still does the nursery rhymes at these gigs? You'd think for $100 you would at least get that.

I saw him at a comedy club in Brooklyn (maybe Pip’s) when I was in HS and Dice was one of the characters that he played. I think it was $5. He was a student in the elementary school where my Aunt taught, although she didn’t have him.

    Clickbait nonsense.
Where were all these alleged suitors a month ago? We all know that if any NFL team really wanted to hire Belichick, they'd have sent out bat signals through intermediaries several weeks ago. Especially that team in Sin City. Belichick's presence on the UNC payroll proves there was no real interest.

He’d have to pay me to show up.

Never underestimate the stupidity/impulsiveness of NFL owners, especially a guy who prides himself on sporting the bowl cut I had in 1979.

I believe Dan was just using Zack Morris/Mark-Paul Gosselaar as a comparison, as in "Zack Morris was able get a gig with 'NYPD Blue," how come the 90210 actors couldn't get roles like that?"

He never appealed to me at his peak. It's not like I hated him, but guys in my dorms (I was my first year at SDSU) were listening to his tapes/CDs and I was like "I just don't get it." Sam Kinison, who got big about the same time with a similar "shock comic" act, was, I thought, worlds better.
That said, I did take a leap of faith and pay for a ticket to see "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane," and didn't mind it so much in a so-bad-it's-good vein, or maybe I have positive spin on it because that's where I first discovered Lauren Holly.

Primary reason being that she died last year and is still dead.

My rankings of the potential hires.
    1. Vrabel, he will have the respect of the locker room and he will get the most out of the talent.
    2. Ben Johnson, but you better have a QB with basic skills, he's not a miracle worker. A decent O line will help.
    3. Aaron Glenn, what he has done with a patchwork defense in Detroit is remarkable, and he will have the respect in the locker room.
    After that, who knows?

I'd say, when in doubt, grab one of Andy Reid's coaches - he has a pretty successful tree - but his current coords are Spagnulo and Nagy who flamed out in earlier HC gigs.
Also, if you are going to consider Monken, remember that Lamar Smith isn't coming with him.

The Bears announce they will interview Matt Campbell of Iowa State. Was there anything preventing them from interviewing him since they let Eberflus go a month ago?
Anyone else think all the Brian Flores interviews are more about protecting the NFL in the lawsuit than anything else? And how many of these interviews are "show interviews" not just to satisfy the Rooney Rule, but to show the fans that the final choice beat out a bunch of big names (who were never really in contention, or that interested any way, but wanted to goose their profile).

Hard for the NFL to match the glitz and glamour of the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
