lol, good observation. Yes, lots of beer snobs, but I am one of them, so it's helpful at times. I like to use it as a guide for when I go beer shopping.

Grab some Dogfish Head 120 Minute. That will put some hair on your cheeks.

Four Dogfish 90s send me into a stupor, and I'm not small either. I'm sure the 120 would kill me. Still wanna try it.

What is fast becoming my neighborhood Tavern had 1/2 price burgers, damn good. PepperJack cheese, peppers, onions and guacamole. big thick burger, pink in the middle. Black and tan battered Onions rings.

Beer special: Sierra Nevada Summerfest. $2.85. Damn tasty.

Convenience store I stop in after work has a great, rotating selection of beers. Stumbled onto this Mad River Steelhead double IPA not long ago. 8.6% ABV, so a 6-pack knocked me on my ass.

Also had the Magic Hat Wacko summer brew. Not bad, but a little too light on taste for me.

The place has also been known to carry Bell's Two-Hearted (probably my favorite beer)

and numerous Lagunitas products. I think I will be stopping there tonight.

Another vote for Bell's Two-Hearted. Nice, clean, easy drinking beer with a subtle kick.

Dig Two-Hearted as well- love the Centennial hops.

If you can find fresh Founders Centennial IPA or Short's Huma Lupa Licious, you'll have a dandy Michigan Centennial-hop-based IPA trifecta.

As a suggestion, and not knowing your location, you may want to check out Capital Brewing (Middleton, Wisconsin) Autumnal Fire. It's their once-a-year release (August/September) of their marzen (dopple-marzen, actually). High alcohol but hides it very well. Malty, malty goodness, especially with one to two years age on it.

Damn, I guess the commercially available rule is restrictive, but a lot of Bell's, Sierra Nevada and Dogfish. I think Anchor Steam is very similar to Sierra Nevada, and I might like Anchor Steam a bit better. Maybe.

I adore New Glarus Spotted Cow. I need to go get me some New Glarus Belgian Red. Fantastic list, Huggy. Thanks for sharing.

Both the New Glarus Belgian Red and Raspberry Tart are spectacular. Their Dancing Man Wheat is a superb hefe, and if you can still find any of their Unplugged Apple Ale, buy all you can afford.
